A New Year...
Well 2012 is off to a good start, if you haven't seen already I was featured in the January issue of Prims magazine and not only was I featured but I made the cover! Very exciting stuff!! You can read more about the issue here.
I am really going to try and update my blog more this year as well as share some projects. But for now I leave you with some fun pictures.
My daughter and I went to Michaels as soon as we heard the magazine was out and sure enough there it was :) It was very surreal seeing it there on the stand with my dolls on the cover. She was taking tons of snapshots and that's me above with it.
My daughter Nicole with it :) Very fun and can't wait for the next one *hint hint*.

Pretty Birds on Old Light Fixtures....
I sculpted the birdies out of clay.
Then I painted, antiqued, and added a crackle finish to them. I molded the birds right onto the end of a wooden spindle that went through the same antiquing process.
The bottoms are as is and off of old lamps. It's amazing what you can do with old things like this!
I LOVE how they turned out!
Other than that I have been busy working on bunnies and dolls....This one has a paperclay head that I sculpted.
This is a little girl doll with bunny ears. Her head was made the same way.
This little prince is one of my favorites! I am going to share soon how to make the crown, super easy and so realistic looking!
I have also been making a few valentine things. I covered the jar lid in clay and embossed it with the print of a doily. I made the little felt heart inside and added a tag that says love. And the outside tag is out of burlap and stamped paper.
These I made out of oxburg and stamped and stitched images on.
And these are bags made out of burlap. These are pretty easy to make and super cute for displaying or gifting.
I also made this with an old piece of wood. I painted it robins egg blue and distressed it, I used wallpaper paste and glued on the burlap, then I added the paper with the word Love that I stamped on. I added a keyhole and key, then made a heart from some pretty fabric and hung it from the key. Super cute for displaying for Valentines, or even all year! A lovely gift as well.
That's about it for me!! Busy Busy!!! What's everyone else been working on? Do you do much decorating for Valentines Day?
I am linking up with Kimba over at a Soft Place to Land for DIY Day....Head over and check out all the neat projects everyone has been working on.

Robins Egg Blue Fireplace....
I'm linking up to my first DIY day over at Kimba's a Soft Place to land!! Head on over and check out everyone's projects!
I have been working on the fake fireplace above.
I headed out the other night to my favorite place Menards, stocked up on wood and Built this beauty.
I love this color.
I have been repainting all of my stuff with Robins Egg Blue.
Of course I rubbed all the edges with antiquing gel.
Here she is all done and decorated.
And another shot with all the dolls I've been making.
So what do you think? Is everyone ready for Christmas? Shopping, baking all done? I know I'm not. Not even close.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!

A few pics from around the homestead...
This is Nicole @ Bugaboos Creations posting for my mom today. I got her to email me a few pictures from around her house as well as her craft area. Enjoy!
This is her craft area. I would totally craft here! I wish my living room were as pretty as this! She told me to tell you it's messy as she had been working but uh messy? Yeh you should see ( my grams is crackin up on that about now ) mine.
More crafting space...I love love love that cabinet. She just repainted it, she has been repainting all of her stuff, she does this oh about every 6 months or so, haha.
She is working on this little cutie now for her etsy shop.
And this little guy too :)
I loveeeeee the ceiling tiles, so cool. She makes or buys and refinishes all of her furniture pieces. I wish my paint jobs looked half as good as hers!
Love this, so cute!
Love this.
She made this. Inside is covered in toile paper. I love it. The top opens up and then there is a drawer too.
She collects clocks, she has so many neat ones. She wants a wall of them and I am sure has enough by now.
That's All! I am going to post another with a few new dolls she has going up in etsy. They are so Adorable!

Past creations....lots of pictures...
I don't have anything finished up today, so I thought I would share some past creations...Enjoy :)
A cabinet I made out of old doors.
A door table I made with yes...an old door.
A shelf out of an old window. It's amazing what you can do with those old doors and windows!
A dollhouse I built out of a kit. Wouldn't you like to move in?
The inside which as you can see was unfinished.
I made these one year for Valentines day.
Some mitten ornies...
and stockings...Oh wait, what's it hanging on? Yes, an old window.
A snowman....
I liked this guy in his striped pjs.
This is one of my favorite Santas, sometimes it's hard to get rid of your creations.
Gingerbread ornies. These are fun and pretty easy to make, and they smell good and last forever.
Another old door cabinet...
Some dollies I made having tea :)
A bench....
My porch a few years back decorated for Christmas. I have not decorated a thing this year. We have moved and I just haven't gotten into it yet.
That's it! Pretty boring, right? Have a Great Thursday!
